Two Little Brothers

There are two little brothers that show up at the Lighthouse on a consistent basis.  The older brother is 9, I’m going to call him Tim.  The younger brother is 8, and I’m going to call him Matt.  Just to protect their identities, y’know? Lead Me to the Cross

Sweat dripping down my body, out of breath and red in the face. Legs shaking, I just have to make it up to the top. 522 steps later, in front of me stands a beautiful white cross, behind me an absolutely gorgeous view of Tacloban City, Philippines. This area was one of the most affected by Typhoon Yolanda last November. Seven months later, there is still much destruction and debris but progress has also been made. It is interesting to see as we drive past different communities the ‘mark’ of relief from all over the world. I have seen relief from Samaritan’s...
