As my teammates have previously mentioned, we played quite the waiting game when it came to traveling to our final destination for our two month stay. Listening prayer. A new idea for me and my generation considering we spend most of our time busy with technology, surrounded by others, spotify or Pandora playing in the background. I think often we are afraid of silence because it forces us to take a vulnerable and truthful look inward. But as believers listening is a crucial skill, to be sensitive to the spirit, to take time to quiet our minds long enough to converse with our father. Something we all desperately need, yet try so desperately to avoid. Be in scripture-sure, have fellowship with others-of course, but find myself a quiet...

The Philippines team has arrived in Manila and has since traveled to the suburbs and are currently with their host family.   The team will spend the coming days getting introduced to their ministry, coming to know the culture, and finding a routine for the summer ahead.  They will be finding internet in the next couple of days so that they can communicate home and share more about what their days and weeks will look like.  Until then, we wanted to let you know that all is well.  Hope that you’re as excited to follow along with their adventure as we are!...
