The last two weeks have been a little crazy for me. I came home on the 15th after spending two months in Rwanda and spent the next week at home in Michigan unpacking, repacking, and spending time with my family & friends. Then I flew to Tennessee where I spent four days at Lee with my friends & sister. The time went by so quickly and I never really had time to sit quietly and process my thoughts. So I did not spend any time thinking about what we were going to be doing at training camp and figured I would find out once I arrived Monday night.
Before I left Lee my friends asked me if I had any specific prayer requests and the only thing that came to my mind was for my team. I did not know anything about the ten other people I was going to be spending the next 3.5 months with and that scared me a little. Well friends, these prayers have been answered & I believe that this team was specificially handpicked by God!
We have already become very close as a team & it is beginning to feel like we are a family! We spend a lot of time laughing together & playing games. Our favorite games so far are freeze tag, Zoo, and ERS! And I cannot forget to mention that the Philippines team is the 2012 Dance-Off winners!! I cannot explain to you how much these ten people mean to me & how excited I am to live life with them over the next 3.5 months! I am so thankful God handpicked me to be on the Philippines Fall 2012 Passport team!! We are all SO ready for the adventure ahead & everything God has planned, and I hope that you continue following us on our journey!
