Blog #4

(Sorry once again, I am really lacking in the creative title department) I also apologize for the lack of specifics included in my blog.  A lot of you probably want to hear stories about my experiences here.  I just have way too many to write in my blog.  I might write about some in my future blogs but for the most part, I'm afraid you might just have to wait until I get home.  However, if you are wondering how I live, my team member Kendra Jett wrote a great blog covering that subject, check it out.
To sum up all that is happening in my life right now in the Philippines, all I can say is that God is molding me into His man.  I realize He does this throughout all of our lives if we surrender them to Him.  He and I have been talking about this a lot and I have realized, as much as I can right now, what it means to surrender.  Like I said, He is molding me.  I am the clay.  He is the Master Potter, and He's got me spinning around so fast that sometimes I totally question what I am doing.   Many times I forget what He is doing.  He has definately put me outside of my comfort zone in almost every single way.  To be honest, it is kind of scary to be 8,000 miles away from everything I've ever known and then not knowing what I'm are doing here.  And for some reason, I keep looking for one big thing to click and say that's why I am here.  Of course, nothing absolutely huge has happened, but I have had this peace that is beyond describing.  I started to feel this when I looked at this trip as just me and God on an adventure, accepting the fact that I have to surrender everything to Him.  With this outlook, I have stopped thinking so much about all the uncertainty I am dealing with, but more on who God is and what it is like to surrender to Him.  I am convinced that this peace I have is a direct result of all the people back home praying for me.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your prayers and love!  I love you all of you so very much.  And to say thank you, here are some pictures of a couple sunsets over the city of Manilla:
