Gods love through a pair of shoes (pictures)

As I was teaching an art class I glanced down and thats when my eyes met Ponchais. Then I saw her shoes. They were torn in the back and barely wearable but here in the Philippines you can't go to school if you dont have shoes, so she wore them. At that moment something inside of me twisted and I knew what I had to do. I asked the head teacher how I could go about getting this little girl some new shoes. After a couple ideas were thrown out, we both decided it would be best for me to take her to the store. So a couple days later I met up with Ponchai and her mother and thats when her...

I’m No Superhero

I tried a little bit harder this time on the title.  The story behind it: tonight at dinner, while I was trying to convince my team that we need a theme song, a member of my team said, "Luke, we're missionaries, not superheros."  Or are we…  First off, the comments that were left on my last blog are all very much appreciated!  Everyone who commented, you guys are awesome!  I wish I could give a shout out to each and every one of you.   Well, allow me to be frank.  I could be like every other person who goes on a mission trip,...

I’m having to admit to myself two things that I never wanted to openly admit before: I’m a visionary and I’m a very radical person. I’m realizing out here that I have this gift. This remarkable, but frustrating gift that God’s given me. I dream. I see things differently than most people.  I have vision. God’s vision. There’s only two words...

Finding freedom in the dreams, pictures, and words from God

Yesterday I was sick so I decided to take a nap. During this nap I had a nightmare. I dreamt that all my team members were turning into demons that were attacking me and I was scared and kept asking to go home. My team leader Jeremy told me that I was not allowed to and that I had to stay and face it instead of running away. So thats what I did. I stood up straight and didn't move. The demon left and then I woke up. Cut to today, I wake up with this unexplainable Joy that I haven't had in awhile. Later that afternoon we were praying over my team member Kendra and that's when the...
